Kim Corrina Raver was born on March 15, 1969 in New York City to her German mother, Tina Raver. Growing up, alongside her sister Cybele, Kim learned and became fluent in German, thanks to the teachings of her mother. She later also became fluent in French, and has conducted several interviews in the language. After she and her sister were spotted by a casting agent while shopping in a department store, Kim became a regular on the children’s television series “Sesame Street” at the tender age of six years old.
