I guess there will always be those who wouuld feel that it was well worth the money spend. January 28, 2009: I saw in the local newspaper where the officers of the law arrested a homeless man for frying up a trout that he caught in the local creek. The the court system sentenced him to jail for 10 days. Gee, like give the
guy
room and board, let him hang out with his buddies at the cost of what, $1,500.00? Let me tell you something: I worked at a fish hatchery for 250 hours for community service for pot I got from the city of tacoma; and by the time a fish gets put into to a creek, it cost tax payers about $4.50 per fish. Since the indians (oh Native Americans,) don't want us to mark the salmon we raise so that commercial fisherman can keep them so they can make a living. The fish often find their way up to the hatchery where they where raised a spawning time. They get gaffed by the same workers that raised them and then they are thrown into containers and sold to companies that make cat food for about $1.00 per fish. Folks there is no lack of supidity here in SLO county. July '08: Looks like the city didn't use their thinking caps when they decided to us an arbitrator for dealing with the Police department. The deal is that the arbitrator has to settler with one or the other and nothing in between. Therefore the cops in SLO are making $100,000.oo per year. I just don't get it about these local governments, they pay outside firms to do all their thinking for them.
